Raúl Esparza, Milo Manheim, Phillipa Soo, Josh Gad Join Cynthia Erivo and Adam Lambert in Jesus Christ Superstar

The rock opera will play the Hollywood Bowl this summer.

Milo Manheim, Raúl Esparza, Josh Gad, Phillipa Soo, and more have joined the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl, August 1-3.

Esparza is set to play Pontius Pilate, with Manheim as Peter. Gad will play King Herod and Soo will play Mary Magdalene. Zachary James plays Caiaphas, Tyrone Huntley plays Simon, and Brian Crum plays Annas.

Ian Ward, Joey Taranto, Clinton Roane, LJ Benet, Cooper Clack, and L. T. Martinez are the Apostles, Isaiah Bailey plays the Priest, Brad Sharp is Apostle and Priest, John E. Lucas is Priest, Summer Greer is Soul Singer, Oyoyo Joi and Krystle Rose Simmons are Apostles and Soul Singers, and Emily Goglia is Maid by the Fire.

The ensemble features John Krause, Nathan Madden, Chris Hernandez, Morgan Marcell, Jennifer Florentino, Brandon Leffler, Damian Caraballo, and Juliet Johnson, with pit singers Ayana Haviv, Gracie Laboy, Natalie Taylor, Mariah Meshae, Suzanne Waters, and Sara Gomez.

They join the previously announced Cynthia Erivo as Jesus and Adam Lambert as Judas.

Featuring lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this staging is directed and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, with Stephen Oremus as musical director and conductor.

The creative team also includes scenic designer Jason Ardizzone-Westcostume designer Emilio Sosaprojection designer Peter Nigrini, lighting designers Tyler Lambert-Perkins and Tyler Glover, sound designer Jonathan Burke, and hair and makeup designer Brandi Strona.
