Playwrights Horizons has extended Dan LeFranc’s The Big Meal. The production, directed by Sam Gold, will now run through April 29.

The play, set in a suburban restaurant, centers on how a meeting of between a man and a waitress leads to an expansive tale that traverses five generations of a modern family, from first kiss to final goodbye.

The cast features David Wilson Barnes, Griffin Birney, Tom Bloom, Anita Gillette, Jennifer Mudge, Rachel Resheff, Cameron Scoggins, and Phoebe Strole.

The creative team includes scenic and costume designer David Zinn, lighting designer Mark Barton, and sound designer Leah Gelpe.
