Tony Award winner Trent Kowalik taught a Billy Elliot workshop for A Class Act NY workshop on Friday, June 4 at Ripley-Grier Studios.
The workshop included scene work and a dance combination from the musical, as well as song interpretation & vocal coaching, musical theatre audition technique, and a mock audition for Elise Kosseff from JMM Talent.
A Class Act NY’s mission is to enrich children’s lives through the magic of the performing arts in a fun, safe and supportive environment. The organization is led by artistic director Jessica Rofé.
Kowalik won a Tony Award for his work in the title role of Billy Elliot the Musical, and played his final Broadway performance as Billy on March 7.
