Lincoln Center Theater has announced three new productions for its 2015-16 season.

First up is Marco Ramirez's The Royale, which will play the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater beginning February 11. Directed by Rachel Chavkin, the fictional work is inspired by the life of Jack Johnson, the first African-American heavyweight world champion. It opens Monday, March 7. It has previously been seen at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre.

Next is the LCT3 premiere of Greg Pierce's Her Requiem, directed by Kate Whoriskey. Running from February 6-March 20 at the Claire Tow Theater, the work tells the story of Caitlin, who takes her senior year of high school off to compose a full-scale requiem, and how that project begins to destroy her family. The creative team is made up of Derek McLane (sets), Jessica Pabst (costumes), Amith Chandrashaker (lighting), and Matt Tierney (sound).

Last is the New York premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins War, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz. Running from May 21-July 3, the play follows two squabbling siblings who are ambushed in their mother's hospital room by two strangers who make a shocking claim about their grandfather's service during World War II. War, which premiered at Yale Repertory Theatre, will have sets by Mimi Lien, costumes by Montana Blanco, lighting by Matt Frey, and sound by Bray Poor.
