Matte Martinez, Natalie Ventia Belcon to Star in New York City Center In the Heights

New York City Center has announced full casting for its upcoming gala presentation of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes’s Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights, running October 28-November 15.

Heading the company are Matte Martinez (Usnavi), Jaci Calderon (Nina), Ashley De La Rosa (Vanessa), Aaron James McKenzie (Benny), Tony Award winner Natalie Venetia Belcon (Claudia), Linedy Genao (Daniela), Ishmael Gonzalez (Sonny), Ivan Hernandez (Kevin), Cedric Leiba Jr (Piragüero), Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (Carla), and Veronica Vazquez-Jackson (Camila).

The ensemble includes Gabi Campo, Adriel Flete, Amanda K. Lopez, Kate Louissaint, Ángel Lozada, Yani Marin, Alora Tonielle Martinez, Bianca Leticia Medina, Sael Antonio Nuñez, Cristian ”Chino” Rodriguez, Kiki Rodriguez, SeQuoiia , Michael Anthony Sylvester, and Ricardo A. Zayas.

In the Heights is directed by David Mendizábal, with music direction by Alejandro Senior and choreography by Mayte Natalio. The creative team includes Riw Rakkulchon (sets), Dede Ayite (costumes), Justin Townsend (lighting), Alex Neumann (sound), and Cynthia Cahill (production stage manager).
