Summoners Ensemble Theatre will present its first-ever full season at the historic Merchant’s House Museum, bringing three of the company’s signature productions to the landmark between November 2026 and June 2027.

The season opens with the 14th holiday presentation of A Christmas Carol at the Merchant’s House (November 24-January 3), adapted by John Kevin Jones and Rhonda Dodd from Dickens’s own performance script and directed by Dodd, with Jones and Vince Gatton alternating as Mr. Dickens.

Killing an Evening With Edgar Allan Poe: Séance at the Merchant’s House (March 30-April 18) returns with John Kevin Jones as Poe and two new tales, “The Black Cat” and “The Devil in the Belfry,” joining selections including “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Raven.”

The season concludes with Whitman in Love (June 1-13), written and performed by Jones, which explores Walt Whitman’s poetry, desire, and same-sex love in the Merchant’s House garden.
