Jessica Dickey’s drama about a school shooting in Amish country will be directed by Sarna Lapine.

Jonathan Groff will return to Broadway beginning February 10 in Jessica Dickey’s solo play The Amish Project at the Broadhurst Theatre.
The Amish Project is an examination of a school shooting that occurred in a one-room schoolhouse in Lancaster, PA, in 2006, which left 10 Amish girls under the age of 13 dead. Groff grew up in a Mennonite family in Lancaster, minutes from where the shooting occurred.
Dickey’s play was first produced at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2008. It has since been seen around the world.
Sarna Lapine will direct The Amish Project at the Broadhurst Theatre; further details will be announced at a later date.
