The celebrity couple finally got hitched after a decade as a couple.
Less than a month after ending his Tony-winning run in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Neil Patrick Harris took another major step in his post-How I Met Your Mother life. After a decade together, he and partner David Burtka got married.
The ceremony took place in Italy this past weekend, with Pam Fryman, the director of How I Met Your Mother, officiating. The couple's 3-year-old twins, Harper and Gideon, also took part in the ceremony, which featured a performance by Harris and Burtka's friend Elton John.
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka got engaged in the mid-2000s. To announce the news of their wedding, Harris took to Twitter with the simple message "Guess what? @DavidBurtka and I got married over the weekend. In Italy. Yup, we put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband'." He also shared the photo below.
