Michael Feinstein, Marvin Hamlisch, Liza Minnelli, et al. Set for Kimmel Center’s 2010-2011 Season

The Kimmel Center has announced its 2010-2011 subscription season, which will include a one-night-only performance by Liza Minnelli. Accompanied by Billy Stritch, the Tony, Emmy and Academy Award winner will appear November 6.

Also on the center’s schedule is a single performance featuring Marvin Hamlisch and Michael Feinstein (December 26). These presentations are part of the Kimmel’s Mosaic Series, which will also include appearances by Spanish singer Buika (October 26), Garrison Keillor (November 15) and Jerry Blavat, who will offer his Soul Revue on January 29 and his Rock & Roll Extravaganza on May 8.

Among the dance offerings at the Kimmel will be Tony Award winner Savion Glover’s SoLo in TiME (February 13). Other dance programming will include Tango Fire (January 30), Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (February 26-27), and the world premiere of Heaven (April 15-17) by Rennie Herris Puremovement.

Other offerings at the center will include a performance by Dave Brubeck (October 26) and one by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (May 1). The Kimmel’s programming will also include its Great Orchestras and Organ Recital, as well as its Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel series.
