Let the Right One In Announces Casting for St. Ann's Warehouse Production

St. Ann's Warehouse has announced casting for the American premiere of the National Theatre of Scotland's Let the Right One In, directed by Tony Award winner John Tiffany with associate direction/movement by Tony nominee Steven Hoggett. Performances are scheduled to run from January 20-February 15, 2015.

Adapted by Jack Thorne from John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel and screenplay, the drama is a coming-of-age romance between a bullied high school student and his new next-door neighbor, a girl who happens to be an ageless vampire. It was first produced by the National Theatre of Scotland before running at London's Royal Court and at the West End's Apollo Theatre.

Rebecca Benson will return to the role of the vampire girl Eli, which she originated in Dundee and then played at the Royal Court and on the West End. Cristian Ortega will play opposite her as Oskar, the bullied boy Eli befriends.The cast will also include will also include Cliff Burnett, Susan Vidler, Gary Mackay, Gavin Kean, Graeme Dalling, Angus Miller, and Andrew Fraser.

The production features original music by Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds, set design by Tony Award winner Christine Jones, lighting design by Chahine Yavroyan, sound design by Olivier Award winner Gareth Fry, and special effects design by Jeremy Chernick.
