
Additional casting has been announced for Kennedy Center‘s production of Terrence McNally’s Master Class, to run March 25-April 18. The production will be directed by Stephen Wadsworth.
In addition to the previously announced Tony Award winner Tyne Daly as opera legend Maria Callas, the cast will include Jeremy Cohen as Manny, Laquita Mitchell as Second Soprano (Sharon), Ta’u Pupu’a as Tenor (Tony), and Alexandra Silber as First Soprano (Sophie).
The show will run along with two of McNally’s other plays, The Lisbon Traviata (March 20-April 11) and Golden Age (March 12-April 14) as part of the Kennedy Center’s “Terrence McNally: Nights as the Opera” series.
Daly received the Tony for Gypsy, and her many stage credits include Rabbit Hole, The Seagull, and Me, Myself, and I. She is well-known for her Emmy Award-winning roles on Judging Amy and Cagney & Lacey.
