The Lapham’s Quarterly Decades Ball: The 1780s took place last night at Gotham Hall with performers including Mary-Louise Parker, Kevin Kline, F. Murray Abraham, Dakin Matthews, Helene Yorke, and Julia Bullock. In addition, as previously announced, Jonathan Groff reprised his role as King George III from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway-bound Hamilton.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Stacy Schiff received the Janus Prize from the Folio Society at the event. Elinor Lipman introduced the author. Oskar Eustis, artistic director of the Public Theater, emceed the evening. The gala celebrates the 80th birthday of Lewis Lapham, who established the literary magazine in 2007.
