John Judd to Play Scrooge in Goodman Theatre’s A Christmas Carol

John Judd will play Scrooge in Tom Creamer’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, to run November 19 – December 31 at the Goodman Theatre. William Brown will direct the production.

Judd has appeared at the Goodman in such productions Shining City, and Magnolia. Among his many other Chicago stage credits are Last of the Boys, The Dresser, The Butchert of Baraboo, A Number, The Price and Gross Indecency. Off-Broadway, he has been seen in Orson’s Shadow and Crime and Punishment.

In related news, the theater has announced that it will hold childrens’ auditions the production on September 12. Actors can register for audition times from 9:30-11:30am in-person in the lobby of Goodman Theatre the day of. Please do not call the theater to make audition appointments.
