Jimin Moon and George Salazar to Join Broadway Cast of The Rocky Horror Show

Jimin Moon and George Salazar are joining the cast of the Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54. Moon will play Rocky and Salazar will play Eddie/Dr. Scott beginning August 25.

Josh Rivera and Harvey Guillén, who currently portray Rocky and Eddie/Dr. Scott, will play their final performances on August 23.

Moon can currently be seen playing Shane Hollander in Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody. As reported earlier this week, their final performance in that is August 12.

Salazar was last seen on Broadway in Be More Chill.

Preston Perez (Death Becomes Her) will also join the company as a swing.

As previously reported, August 25 will also see Jake Shears, Lorna Courtney, and Kevin McHale join the cast.

Richard O’Brien’s cult classic musical about a white-bread couple whose car breaks down in a storm, forcing them to seek refuge in a dark castle occupied by a horny mad scientist and his alien servants, The Rocky Horror Show exemplifies the unbridled sexuality of the 1970s.

The Rocky Horror Show cast currently includes Rachel Dratch as “Narrator,” Andrew Durand as “Brad,” Luke Evans as “Frank-N-Furter,” Amber Gray as “Riff Raff,” Harvey Guillén as “Eddie / Dr. Scott,” Stephanie Hsu as “Janet,” Josh Rivera as “Rocky,” Sherie Rene Scott as “Magenta”, Valentina as “Columbia” as well as Renée Albulario, Anania, Boy Radio, Tassy Kirbas, Caleb Quezon, Andres Quintero, Larkin Reilly, Paul Soileau, and John Yi.

TheaterMania’s review describes this revival production from Roundabout Theatre Company and director Sam Pinkleton as “delightfully low-tech.”
