Howes, Jerome Join Cazenove, O’Hare, et al. in My Fair Lady Tour

Sally Ann Howes will play Mrs. Higgins and Tim Jerome will play Alfred P. Doolittle in the North American tour of Cameron Mackintosh and the National Theatre of Great Britain’s new production of Lerner & Loewe’s My Fair Lady, which will begin at Tampa Bay PAC in Tampa, FL September 12-15. It will go on to play engagements in more than 25 cities including Washington D.C., Boston, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Toronto.

Adapted from Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, the musical features book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. The original U.K. artistic team — including director Trevor Nunn, choreographer Matthew Bourne (who received an Olivier for his work in this production), production designer Anthony Ward, and lighting designer David Hersey — will reunite for the tour.

As previously announced, Christopher Cazenove, best known to U.S. audiences as Ben Carrington on television’s Dynasty, will star as Professor Henry Higgins. Lisa O’Hare, who recently played the title role of the West End production of Mary Poppins, will play Eliza Doolittle. The two actors originated these roles in the U.K. national tour in 2005. In addition, Dana DeLisa will play the role of Eliza will at select performances.

The cast will also feature Walter Charles (Colonel Hugh Pickering), Alma Cuervo (Mrs. Pearce), and Justin Bohon (Freddy Eynsford-Hill). Ensemble members will include David Abeles, John Paul Almon, Harlen Bengel, Eric Briarley, Ronald L. Brown, Debra Cardona, Kyle Des Champs, Bill Dietrich, Warren Freeman, Jazmin Gorsline, Robin Haynes, Lisa Kassay, Lainie Munro, Adam Laird, Christine Negherbon, Cathy Newman, Georga Osborne, Lauren Pastorek, John Schacchetti, Byron St. Cyr, Jesse Swimm, David Tankersley, Stephanie Van Duynhoven, Erin Willis, and Lee Zarrett.
