Maybe the actress will dig out her coat hanger sculpture for luck at this Sunday’s ceremony.

This Sunday, On the Twentieth Century star Kristin Chenoweth travels to Town Hall to see if she can add another Drama Desk Award to her shelf of accolades. She's walked away from the ceremony empty-handed her past two go-rounds — in 2007 for The Apple Tree and 2004 for her famed turn as Glinda in Wicked — but we're flashing all the way back to the '90s when this Broadway diva came armed with a winning pink frock and an art project worthy of the Guggenheim.

In 1997, Chenoweth won the Drama Desk for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (the performance that later earned her a Tony). During the awards show, she took the stage in her Sally Brown costume — surprisingly not to deliver one of her famous operatic solos, but to rock a monologue. As it turns out, the lady can bring down a house just as easily with an old clothes hanger as she can with a High C.
