Christine Applegate, who starred in the title role of the Broadway revival of Sweet Charity, was named to the top of People Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People List. The issue, with Applegate on the cover, is due out on Friday.
Applegate, who currently stars on ABC’s Samantha Who? was recognized for dealing with breast cancer and having a double mastectomy.
Other Broadway veterans honored by the magazine were Claire Danes, Jennifer Garner, Hugh Jackman, and Brooke Shields. In addition, Zac Efron and Amanda Bynes, who co-starred in the film version of Hairspray, were named to the list.
Among the other 100 celebrities chosen were Angelina Jolie, Robert Pattinson,Tina Fey, Drew Barrymore, Beyonce Knowles, Meredith Vieira, Jimmy Fallon, George Clooney, Kristen Wiig, Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria Parker, Cindy Crawford, Angie Harmon, and U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.
