Audra McDonald, who stars in the the Broadway production of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, will perform the song “Summertime” on the March 5 episode of The Colbert Report, starring Stephen Colbert. The show airs at 11:30pm on Comedy Central.
McDonald is a four-time Tony Award winner for Carousel, Ragtime, Master Class, and A Raisin in the Sun, and was also nominated for her work in Marie Christine and 110 in the Shade.
