The Storm Theatre Company has announced plans to kick off 2015 with Anita Loos' play Gigi, adapted from the novella by Colette. The production, which is presented in association with Blackfriars Repertory Theatre, will play at the Storm Theatre Company's home at the Church of Notre Dame.

Anita Loos' dramatization of Gigi is set in Paris at the turn of the 20th century and is described as "a timeless tale of love and marriage and commerce." Like the classic movie musical version of the same story, the play is a romantic comedy of a rich but weary bon vivant and an innocent would-be courtesan. When the play originally opened in 1951, it launched the career of Audrey Hepburn.

Under the direction of Peter Dobbins (artistic director of the Storm Theatre Company), the production features Connie Castanzo as Gigi along with Justin Adams, Kate Chamuris, Jamil Chokachi, Cheri Paige Fogleman, Kathleen Huber, and Evangelina Kinglsey.

Set design is by Brian Dudkiewicz, with costume design by Courtney Irizarry and lighting design by Michael Abrams.
