New Richard Greenberg Drama Set for Upcoming Manhattan Theatre Club Season

Full casting has also been announced for MTC’s production of Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig’s ”The World of Extreme Happiness”.

Richard Greenberg's new drama, The Swing of the Sea, will receive its world premiere as part of Manhattan Theatre Club's 2014-15 season, the organization has announced.

Directed by Lynne Meadow, Greenberg's new play will be presented at New York City Center – Stage I beginning May 26, 2015. Opening night is set for June 16. This 11th collaboration between Greenberg and MTC takes place following the death of family patriarch Max as his sons and lover explore the secrets and ghosts of their pasts. Full casting will follow in the coming months.

MTC has also announced the cast for Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig's The World of Extreme Happiness, a coproduction with Chicago's Goodman Theatre that is directed by Eric Ting. The new play, about a young woman desperate to escape her life in rural China, will star Jennifer Lim, Ruy Iskander, Francis Jue, Jodi Long, Jo Mei, and Andrew Pang. Previews begin February 3, 2015, at New York City Center — Stage I, with opening night set for February 24.
