Tony winner Jonathan Pryce (Miss Saigon) will return to the New York stage for the first time in a decade when Shakespeare's Globe brings its acclaimed production of The Merchant of Venice to the Lincoln Center Festival this summer.

Pryce will play Shylock in the production, which is directed by Jonathan Munby. He will be joined by his own daughter, Phoebe Pryce, as Shylock's daughter, Jessica. It will run seven performances, July 20-24, on a re-created Globe stage at the Rose Theater in the Time Warner Center. Full casting will be announced at a later date.

Also on tap for this year's Lincoln Center Festival is the North American premiere of Takarazuka's Chicago, running six performances July 20-24 at the David H. Koch Theater. The Japanese musical revue troupe will present an all-female version of John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Bob Fosse's musical Chicago, with eight actresses — Saori Mine, Saki Asaji, Asato Shizuki, Yoka Wao, Wataru Kozuki, Hikaru Asami, Natsuki Mizu, and Yuga Yamato — heading the company.

The list also includes Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon's National Ballet of Canada production of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, with music by Joby Talbot, sets and costumes by Bob Crowley, lighting by Narasha Katz, projections by Daniel Brodie, and silk effects by Basil Twist. It will run five performances at the David H. Kock Theater.
