Full Casting Announced for Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope at New York City Center

Savion Glover will direct and choreograph the Micki Grant-Vinnette Carroll musical.

New York City Center has announced casting for Savion Glover's upcoming Encores! Off-Center production of Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope by Micki Grant and Vinnette Carroll. The production runs July 25-28.

The musical will star Rheaume Crenshaw, Dayna Dantzler, Aisha de Haas, James T. Lane, and Wayne Pretlow. The ensemble will be made up of Alexandria Bradley, Marshall L. Davis Jr., CK Edwards, Jeffry Foote, Shonica Gooden, Nina Hudson, Marla McReynolds, and Amber Barbee Pickens.

A celebration of African-American culture and community, this radical work presents the issues of race politics in America through a lively mix of song and dance with a score that includes gospel, jazz, soul, calypso, and rock. Annastasia Victory serves as musical director.
