John Donnelly's The Pass to Have American Premiere at La MaMa

Terry Bell and Matisse Ratron-Neal will star in the American debut of John Donnelly’s The Pass, directed by Max Hunter, at La MaMa.

The Max Hunter Company will present the American debut of John Donnelly’s The Pass at La MaMa, with preview performances beginning July 30 ahead of an official opening night August 3. Performances are scheduled through September 4.

The story of two young footballers, their secrets, and a career-defining game that changes both of their lives, The Pass will star Matisse Ratron-Neal as Jason, Terry Bell as Ade, Ino Badanjak as Lyndsey, and Oliver Rowland-Jones as Harry.

Max Hunter will direct the production, which features set design by Seth Byrum, lighting design by Cheyenne Sykes, costume design by Amanda Roberge, sound design by Megan Culley, prop design by Thomas Jenkeleit, and video design by Dwight Bellisimo.

The Pass made its world premiere at London’s Royal Court Theatre in 2014 in a production that starred Russell Tovey and Gary Carr. You can read the WhatsOnStage review of that production here.
