Focus Features Reportedly Developing Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day as a Broadway Musical

Will Miss Pettigrew live as a Broadway musical?

ShowBiz411 is reporting that Focus Features is planning to adapt the 2008 film, titled in-full Miss Pettigrew Lives for A Day, for the stage, featuring songs by The Drowsy Chaperone‘s Tony-winners Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and a book (as well as possible direction) by Robert Harling, best known for the play Steel Magnolias.

The romantic comedy, based on the 1938 novel by Winifred Watson, follows the friendship between a straight-laced middle-aged British governess who finds her life turned upside down when she goes to work for a free-spirited American actress. The film starred Frances McDormand and Amy Adams.
