First Folio Theatre Announces 2012-2013 Season

The First Folio Theatre in Chicago’s 2012-2013 season will begin with Executive Director David Rice’s The Madness of Edgar Allan Poe: A Love Story (September 29-November 4) which explores the world of Poe as an infamous poet and storyteller. Directed by Michael Goldberg, this production stars Larry Newumann, Jr., Diane Mair, and Robert Allan Smith.

The season continues with a light-hearted, heroic adventure story Jeeves Takes a Bow (February 1-March 3) directed by Alison C. Vesely. Jim McCance and Christian Gray star as Jeeves and Bertie, respectively, and are accompanied by Lydia Berger Gray, Melanie Keller, and Kevin McKillip.

Emmy Award-winner Glen Berger’s Under the Lintel (March 30-April 28) will be directed by Alison C. Vesely and is the story of a journey around the world that leads to a discovery of a hidden past.

The First Folio Theatre will close with a tale of love and perseverance entitled Shakespeare’s Cymbeline: A Folk Tale With Music (June 19-JUly 21), adapted by David Rice with music and lyrics by David Rice and Michael Keefe.
