Jacques d’Amboise’s memoir, I Was a Dancer, will be released in February, 2011.

D’Amboise appeared on Broadway in Shinbone Alley and in the films Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Carousel. He was a member of the New York City Ballet for more than three decades, and is the founder of the National Dance Institute. He also received an Emmy Award nomination for choreographing the TV special Sing! Sesame Street Remembers Joe Raposo and His Music.

He is the father of Broadway stars Charlotte d’Amboise and Christopher d’Amboise.
