Bebe Rexha Will Open A Christmas Story Live! With New Pasek and Paul Song

Singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha has joined the cast of A Christmas Story Live! and will open the show with a performance of a new Benj Pasek and Justin Paul tune, "Count on Christmas." The song was written specifically for the live musical, which airs Sunday, December 17, at 7pm on Fox.
The three-hour live television event is inspired by the holiday classic feature A Christmas Story and Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Joseph Robinette's Tony Award-nominated Broadway production A Christmas Story: The Musical. It is directed and executive-produced by Scott Ellis and Alex Rudzinski. Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will executive-produce, with Jonathan Tolins and Robert Cary serving as coexecutive producers and writers.
The company includes Andy Walken as Ralphie, Maya Rudolph as Ralphie's mother, Matthew Broderick as the narrator, Jane Krakowski as Miss Shields, Ana Gasteyer as Mrs. Schwartz, Chris Diamantopoulos as the Old Man, Ken Jeong as both a Christmas tree salesman and a restaurant owner, and David Alan Grier as Santa Claus. The band PrettyMuch will appear as the Hohman, Indiana carolers.
