Lynne Meadow and Barry Grove have announced that Manhattan Theatre Club will honor legendary actor and singer Bernadette Peters at its 2018 fall benefit, set for Monday, November 19, at 583 Park Avenue.

Peters has been a longtime member of the MTC family, since she costarred with Christine Baranski in Sally and Marsha, directed by Lynne Meadow in 1982, at which time she joined the MTC Board. She recently completed a Broadway run as Dolly Gallagher Levi in the current revival of Hello, Dolly!, and with over a dozen additional Broadway credits to her name, delivered Tony-winning performances in Annie Get Your Gun and Song and Dance (also earning the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award in 2012). Her another notable Broadway credits include Gypsy, Into the Woods, A Little Night Music, Follies, Sunday in the Park With George, among others.

In addition to performing, Peters devotes her time to numerous events that benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, including the annual dog and cat adoption event event Broadway Barks, which she cofounded with Mary Tyler Moore.

The 2018 fall benefit is cochaired by Sue Bovenkerk Slager, Lisa Towbin, and Susan Winter. All proceeds from the event will support MTC's productions, Artistic Development Program, and Education Program.
