Jose Llana and Conrad Ricamora to Star in Here Lies Love on Broadway

The two actors return to roles they originated 10 years ago in this musical about the rise and fall of Imelda Marcos.

Jose Llana and Conrad Ricamora will return to David Byrne and Fatboy Slim’s Here Lies Love for its upcoming run at the Broadway Theatre. Performances begin June 17 ahead of a July 20 opening.

Llana will once again play Ferdinand Marcos, with Ricamora as Ninoy Aquino. Both actors originated their roles in the Public Theatre production 10 years ago and received Lortel Award nominations. Ricamora also play the role at Seattle Rep.

Developed and directed by Alex Timbers, with choreography by Annie-B Parson and additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, the show’s home at the Broadway Theatre will be transformed into a dance club where the audience is immersed in the story.

Complete casting for Here Lies Love is still to be announced. An international search for actors is currently underway.
