Alex Wyse and Lenne Klingaman to Join Broadway's Waitress

The pair will take on the roles of Ogie and Dawn.

Alex Wyse and Lenne Klingaman will become the next Ogie and Dawn of Broadway's Waitress beginning October 9.

Wyse last appeared on Broadway in the 2015 revival of Spring Awakening. Klinaman makes her Broadway debut after originating the role of Dawn on the show's first national tour. They replace current stars Katie Lowes and Adam Shapiro.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture, Waitress features music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus. The production opened April 24, 2016, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, and earned four Tony nominations.

Waitress currently stars Nicolette Robinson as Jenna, Benny Elledge (Cal), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Ben Thompson (Earl), Mariam Bedigan and London Skye Gilliam (Lulu), Bill Nolte (Joe), Tyrone Davis, Jr., Law Terrell Dunford, Molly Hager, Jessie Hooker-Bailey, Anastacia McCleskey, Stephanie Torns and Dan Tracy. Al Roker joins the company as Joe on October 5.
