Stages St. Louis has announced the three musicals that will be part of its 2010 season.
The year will begin with Big River (May 28 – June 27), Roger Miller’s musical based on Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. The company will then produce Promises, Promises (July 16 – August 15). This musical reworking of Billy Wilder’s The Apartment features a book by Neil Simon and songs by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The third offering from Stages St. Louis in 2010 will be Rodgers’ and Hammerstein’s State Fair (September 3 – October 3). This musical about a Midwestern farm family on its big annual outing had its stage debut in St. Louis at the city’s Muny.
