Debra Monk, Lisa Kron, Geraldine Hughes, et al. Set for September 20 IT Awards

Lisa Kron will host the fifth annual IT Awards, celebrating the best of Off-Off-Broadway, which will be held on Monday, September 20 at Cooper Union’s Great Hall.

Presenters will include Tony Award winner Debra Monk, Geraldine Hughes, Jill DuBoff, Basil Twist, Christian Parker, Abby Marcus, Tim Errickson, Matt Opatrny, and Jessica Burr.

As previously reported, the 2010 Artistic Achievement Award will be given to playwright Lanford Wilson; the 2010 Stewardship Award will be given to Dixon Place, and the 2010 Caffe Cino Fellowship Award will be given to the New York Neo-Futurists.

Productions with multiple nominations include The Tenement, Samuel and Alasdair: A Personal History of the Robot War, and Fêtes de la Nuit. Acting nominees include Frank Anderson (The Return of Peter Grimm), Jess Barbagallo (MilkMilkLemonade), Nikole Beckwith,(MilkMilkLemonade), Marc Bovino (Samuel and Alasdair), Jessica Crandall (Agamemnon), Michael Cyril Creighten (MilkMilkLemonade), Joe Curnutte (Samuel and Alasdair), Amir Darvish (Psych), Elizabeth A. Davis (Emily, An Amethyst Remembrance), Kyle Haggerty (The Hypochondriac), John Halbach (Children At Play), Jennifer Harder (MilkMilkLemonade), Elyse Mirto (Next Year in Jerusalem), Elaine O’Brien (Granada), Susan Louise O’Connor (Children At Play), Tanya O’Debra (Radio Star), Anna O’Donoghue (Too Little Too Late), Douglas Scott Sorenson (The Hypochondriac), Evan Thompson (Loyalties), Paco Tolson (The Brokenhearteds), Kristen Vaughan (The Desk Set), Stephanie Wright Thompson ( Samuel and Alasdair), and Harris Yulin (The Glass House).

Nominations were also given to the ensemble casts of Fêtes de la Nuit, Pink!, Samuel and Alasdair: A Personal History of the Robot War, The Disorder Plays, The Glass House, and Too Little Too Late. Nominated solo performers include Dan Berkey, Michael Graves, David Harrell, Erin Markey, Brian McManamon, Avery Pearson, and Jesse Zaritt.
