(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | Broadway stars Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Griffiths, Jane Krakowski, Nathan Lane, and Jesse L. Martin will be among the stars appearing in NBC's A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa, to air at 8pm on Wednesday, December 17, according to published reports.
The show will be written by Hugh Fink, Andrew Samson, Scott Ganz, and Paul Williams -- who is also providing the score and will appear in the special -- and is directed by Kirk Thatcher. In it, the Muppets, including Kermit and Miss Piggy, forego their vacation plans in order to get some important letters to Santa Claus in time for the holidays.
The cast will also feature Madison Pettis, Petra Nemcova, Steve Schrippia, Tony Sirico, and Uma Thurman.
