Casting has been announced for Recipe for Life/Part Two, to be offered July 12-18 at the Acorn Theatre. Their performances will benefit The Honorable Tina Brozman Foundation (or Tina’s Wish), an organization devoted to researching early detection of Ovarian Cancer.

The performance on July 12 will feature three staged readings: Christopher Durang’s Mrs. Sorken, featuring Marian Seldes; Tennessee Williams’ Adam and Eve on a Ferry, featuring Len Cariou and Penny Fuller; and Williams’ The Pretty Trap, a precursor to The Glass Menagerie, starring Elaine Stritch as Amanda Wingfield, along with Tasha Lawrence and Jake Robards.

The July 13 performance will also feature The Pretty Trap, with Frances Sternhagen in the lead role, along with Interior Panic, another short play by Williams, which will feature Johanna Day. Christopher Hart will direct the two pieces.

The final installment in the series will be the world premiere of Susan Charlotte’s The Shoemaker, directed by Antony Marseilis and featuring Danny Aiello and Lizbeth McKay, which will run July 15-18. The piece is based on Charlotte’s film A Broken Sole.
