Tony Award Nominee Jennifer Westfeldt to Join FOX's 24

Former Wonderful Town star Jennifer Westfeldt will play journalist Meredith Reed on the eight season of FOX-TV's 24, which will begin airing in January 2010, according to TVGuide.com.

The series, which stars Kiefer Sutherland as Federal agent Jack Bauer and Tony Award winner Cherry Jones as President Allison Taylor, will add numerous actors next season, including Freddie Prinze, Jr., Anil Kapoor, Chris Diamantopoulos, and John Boyd.

Westfeldt received a Tony Award nomination and Theatre World Award for her work as Eileen in the Broadway revival of Wonderful Town. Her many film and television credits include Kissing Jessica Stein, Ira & Abby, Notes from the Underbelly, and Grey's Anatomy.
