On Tuesday night, the Public Theater officially opened Road Show, a new musical by the legendary composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim.

Here are the show's director, John Doyle, and its librettist, John Weidman, both of whom have worked extensively with Sondheim.

Alexander Gemignani and Michael Cerveris, both of whom have starred in other Sondheim shows, play brothers Addison and Wilson Mizner in the musical.

Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce -- who will return to Broadway this spring in Accent on Youth -- was among the opening night guests.

The amazing Elaine Stritch -- who starred in the original Broadway production of Sondheim's Company -- came out for the opening.

Barbara Walsh -- who played Stritch's role of Joanne in Doyle's recent revival of Company -- is currently starring in the DC Studio Theatre production of Grey Gardens.

Broadway and daytime television star Kevin Spirtas will be back on stage in the upcoming Bacharach to the Future benefit at New World Stage on December 1.

Also on Tuesday night, Manhattan Theatre Club officially premiered the baseball drama Back Back Back. Here are actor James Martinez, playwright Itamar Moses, director Daniel Aukin, and Martinez's co-stars Michael Moseley and Jeremy Davidson.

After the show, Davidson caught up with his beautiful and talented wife, actress Mary Stuart Masterson.

On Wednesday, the fabulous Orfeh came to Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle for a performance and signing of her new CD What Do You Want From Me.

On Thursday night, Early Stages honored Tony Award winner Zoe Caldwell (center) at a benefit, emceed by real-life couple Matt Cavenaugh -- soon to appear as Tony in Broadway's West Side Story -- and Jenny Powers.

Finally, on Thursday night, Lincoln Center Theatre opened the play Dividing the Estate at Broadway's Booth Theatre. Here are playwright Horton Foote and his daughter, Hallie, who plays the scheming Mary Jo.

The one-and-only Elizabeth Ashley makes a welcome return to Broadway as family matriarch Stella.

Gerald McRaney gives an outstanding performance as Stella's black-sheep son, Lewis.

Finally, here's the always wonderful Penny Fuller, who plays Lucille, with frequent companion Tony Roberts.
