Broadway's Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots is set to open on London's West End at the Adelphi Theatre beginning August 21. The production is also still playing on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where it opened on April 4, 2013.

"We are thrilled and deeply honored to be bringing Kinky Boots back home to British shores, where this inspirational story is set," said producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig in a statement.

With a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory, who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success. It won the 2013 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for Billy Porter, among other awards.

The design team for Kinky Boots includes David Rockwell (scenic design), Tony Award-winner Gregg Barnes (costume design), Tony Award winner Kenneth Posner (lighting design), and Tony Award winner John Shivers (sound design).
