Marc Kudsich will play John Buchanan, Jr. and Sarah Zimmerman will play Alma Winemiller in L.A. Theatre Works' The Play's The Thing series of performances of Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke, to run June 18-22 at the Skirball Cultural Center. These shows are taped for future radio broadcast.

The production, to be directed by Michael Hackett, will also star Anne Gee Byrd (Mrs. Bassett), Gabriel Olds (Vernon/Dusty/Archie), David Selby (John Buchanan, Sr.), Armin Shimerman (Reverend Winermiller), Tina Sanchez (Rosa Gonzales), Kitty Swink (Mrs Winemiller/Kitty), and Tegan West (Roger Doremus).
