Shakespeare's Globe has announced its plans for its 2010 season, which has the title Kings and Rogues.
The season will open on with Macbeth (April 23-June 27), which will be followed by Henry VIII (May 15-August 21), Dominic Dromgoole's productions of Henry IV Part 1 (June 5-October 2) and Henry IV Part 2 (July 3-October 3), and a revival Christopher Luscombe's 2008 staging of The Merry Wives of Windsor (August 14 -October 2).
The Globe will also present two new plays: Howard Brenton's Anne Boleyn (July 24-August 21), which will be directed by John Dove; abd Nell Leyshon's Bedlam (September 5-October 1), a fictional portrayal of a London hospital for the insane.
