Eden Espinosa, best known for her stint as the high-flying (and high-belting) witch Elphaba in Broadway’s hit musical Wicked, will be performing at the WhatsOnStage Awards Launch Party on December 6 at London’s Café de Paris, where the nominees for the 2014 awards will be announced.

The Broadway star finds herself across the Atlantic for a special holiday concert, Christmas in New York , in which she will be performing on December 9 at the West End’s Palace Theatre. At the WhatsOnStage Awards Launch Party, Espinosa plans to perform a specially selected number from the extensive Rodgers & Hammerstein catalogue in honor of the recently opened London office for Rodgers & Hammerstein Theatricals Europe, one of the sponsors for this year’s WhatsOnStage Awards. Tony nominee and recent star of the acclaimed West End production of Merrily We Roll Along Jenna Russell will also perform at the event.

Nominations for the 2014 awards will close on November 30. Following the December 6 announcement, final voting for the 2014 awards will continue online at awards.whatsonstage.com through January 31. Winners will then be revealed and presented with their trophies at the WhatsOnStage Awards ceremony on February 23 at the West End’s Prince of Wales Theatre.
