Michael Crawford, David Ganly, Danielle Hope, Hannah Waddingham Set for June 2 Wizard of Oz CD-Signing

Michael Crawford, David Ganly, Danielle Hope, and Hannah Waddingham will celebrate the release of the new recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of The Wizard of Oz, with a CD-signing event to be held at Dress Circle on June 2 at 1:30pm.

As previously reported, the original cast recording of the show is currently available for digital download internationally and purchase in stores in the U.K. It will be released in stores in the U.S. by Decca Broadway on June 28.

This 24 track album features the songs from Harold Alren and E.Y. Harburg’s Oscar-winning movie score, including “Over the Rainbow,” “Munchkinland / Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead,” “If I Only Had A Brain,” and “The Merry Old Land Of Oz,” as well as the new songs by Webber and Tim Rice, which were written for the production.

Directed by Jeremy Sams, the production stars Hope as Dorothy, Crawford as The Wizard, Ganly as the Cowardly Lion and Waddingham as the Wicked Witch of the West, along with Edward Baker-Duly (Tin Man), Paul Keating (Scarecrow), and Emily Tierney (Glinda).
