Joel Grey to Perform at George Mason University’s ARTS by George! Benefit

Tony and Oscar winner Joel Grey will perform at George Mason University’s ARTS By George! benefit at 8pm on September 25.

Grey will be joined by a 20-piece orchestra to take audiences on a virtual tour of his career, sharing stories about his experiences on Broadway and autobiographical tales about his father, legendary Yiddish comedian Mickey Katz.

Grey won a Tony for the original Broadway production of Cabaret, and an Academy Award for its film version. He was also Tony-nominated for his work in George M!, Goodtime Charley, and The Grand Tour. His additional Broadway credits include Wicked, Chicago, and Half a Sixpence.

In addition, the actor has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including a recent guest-starring spot on Grey’s Anatomy. He also recently directed a benefit reading of Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart in Los Angeles, and will do so again at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theatre on October 16. He has also released three photography books.
