Bodnar, Davidson, Stanek, et al. Set for North Shore’s The Producers

Full casting has been announced for The North Shore Music Theatre’s production of the Mel Brooks-Thomas Meehan musical The Producers, May 13-June 1, to be directed and choreographed by Bill Burns.

The cast will feature Scott Davidson as Max Bialystock, Jim Stanek as Leo Bloom, Amy Bodnar as Ulla, Stuart Marland as Roger DeBris, Patrick Wetzel as Franz Liebkind, and Fred Berman as Carmen Ghia.

The ensemble comprises Noah Aberlin, Kristi Ambrosetti, Gale Bennett, Joel Briel, Kyle Brown, Jameson Cooper, Ashley deZeeuw, Veronica DiPerna, Madeleine Doherty, C.K. Edwards, Valerie Fagan, Tim Falter, Leslie Flesner, Alexa Glover, Shari Jordan, and Robin Lewis.

The creative team includes Dale Rieling (music director), Campbell Baird (sets), Jack Mehler (lighting), and John Stone (sound).

The theater will also present Contact, June 10-29; Bye Bye Birdie, July 15-August 3; The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee, August 12-31; Show Boat, September 23-October 12; 42nd Street, October 28-November 16; and High School Musical 2, December 18-January 11.

In addition, executive producer Barry Ivan, will introduce a new “Screen to Stage” program that provides a unique look at popular Broadway musicals whose origins are based in some of the silver screen’s most beloved films. This will include a semi-staged concert version production of The Wiz, inspired by the classic 1939 Academy Award winning film The Wizard of Oz, September 5, 6 and 7.
