Conan O'Brien to Embark Upon Live Comedy Tour April 12, Including Two Shows at Radio City Music Hall

By Dan Bacalzo • Mar 11, 2010 • Touring Productions

Former Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien will launch a live comedy tour at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in Eugene, Oregon, on April 12, and has already added a second show to its engagement at New York City's Radio City Music Hall, where O'Brien will perform on June 1 and 2 at 8pm.

The 30-city tour, which will include both national and international stops, is entitled The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour, which references the talk show host's NBC settlement, which prohibits him from appearing on television until after September 1, but makes no reference to him making live appearances. Press notes describe the show as "a night of music, comedy, hugging, and the occasional awkward silence."

The tour will reunite O'Brien with members of his television cast including Andy Richter and some of his Tonight Show band. Additional stops will include appearances in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle, and Toronto.
