Producers Caitlin Crombleholme and Jen Hoguet have announced an extension for This American Wife, created and performed by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley as part of Next Door at NYTW. Originally slated to end its run on August 4, This American Wife will now run July 26-August 11 at the Fourth Street Theatre.

The play is described as follows: "On screens across the world, women call themselves 'Real Housewives' while they scream, sob, and scam their way to the top. Meanwhile, spiraling in shame in their bedrooms, Michael and Patrick clandestinely binge on the gaudy lives and savvy strategies of these expert performance artists. A raucous multimedia theater work, This American Wife tracks Michael and Patrick's obsessions with intimacy, queerness, and the deep desire to see and be seen."

Now in its inaugural season, Next Door at NYTW provides a home for companies and artists who are producing their own work. Meeting the artists where they are in their process, this initiative provides each project with subsidized resources and space for development and performance in the newly renovated Fourth Street Theatre.
