Stephanie J. Block to Join New York City Center's Brigadoon
The two-time Tony nominee joins Patrick Wilson, Aasif Mandvi, Kelli O'Hara, and Robert Fairchild in Christopher Wheeldon's production.
Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos, The Mystery of Edwin Drood) will be joining the upcoming Encores! concert staging of Brigadoon. She will play Meg Brockie in the production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's musical, to be directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris), with Rob Berman leading the Encores! orchestra.
The two-time Tony Award nominee will join a cast that includes two-time Tony nominee Patrick Wilson as Tommy Albright, Aasif Mandvi as Jeff Douglas, Tony winner Kelli O'Hara as Fiona MacLaren, and Tony nominee Robert Fairchild as Harry Beaton.
The first performance of Brigadoon will be held on November 15 as part of New York City Center's annual gala, honoring City Center board cochair and Broadway producer Stacey Mindich. An additional five performances will be held November 16-19. Funds raised at all six performances of Brigadoon will subsidize affordable tickets throughout the year to programs such as Fall for Dance and Encores! Off-Center.
