World Premiere of Marys Seacole Announces Complete Casting

Quincy Tyler Bernstine will take on the title role in the new play by Jackie Sibblies Drury.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 has announced complete casting for the world premiere of Marys Seacole, a new play by Jackie Sibblies Drury and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz. Performances will run for six weeks only, February 9, 2019-March 24, 2019, with an official February 25, 2019, opening at the Claire Tow Theater.

As announced, Quincy Tyler Bernstine will lead the cast as Mary, "an ambitious Jamaican woman determined to live a grand life. Her adventures take her across oceans and eras, from a battlefield of the Crimean War to a contemporary nursing home, and many times and places in between."

Karen Kandel (The Assignment) and Lucy Taylor (Dance Nation) were also previously announced for the world-premiere cast, and will be joined by Gabby Beans (On Loss and Mice and Monsters and Love), Marceline Hugot (Measure for Measure), and Ismenia Mendes (Bernie & Mikey's Trip to the Moon).

The production will have sets by Mariana Sanchez, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Jiyoun Chang, and sound by Palmer Hefferan.
