The company of John Kander and Greg Pierce's new musical Kid Victory will head into the studio on March 20 to record the show's original cast album. Broadway Records is set to release the recording, produced by Michael Croiter, in September.

In Kid Victory, 17-year old Luke returns to his small Kansas town after a wrenching one-year absence. As his friendship grows with the town misfit, Emily, his parents realize that in order to truly find their son, they must confront some unnerving truths about his disappearance.

The original company included Ann Arvia (Mary Poppins), Joel Blum (Steel Pier), Laura Darrell (Frozen Live), Jeffry Denman (White Christmas), Brandon Flynn (Thirteen Reasons Why), Daniel Jenkins (Mary Poppins), Dee Roscioli (Wicked), Karen Ziemba (Curtains), and Blake Zolfo (The Lightning Thief). David Garrison has since replaced Jenkins in the production, which runs through March 19 at the Vineyard Theatre.

Kid Victory is directed by Liesl Tommy and features choreography by Christopher Windom, scenic design by Tony Award winner Clint Ramos, costumes by Jacob A. Climer, lighting by David Weiner, and sound design by Tony nominee Peter Hylenski. David Loud serves as music supervisor, Michael Starobin as orchestrator, and Jesse Kissel as music director.
