Irish Repertory Theatre announced the first staged reading of the 12th season of its New Works Reading Series: Darren Donohue's Dual Cats With One Crayfish, which will take place on Friday, October 20, at 3pm on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage of the Irish Rep Theatre.

Directed by Irish Rep literary manager Kara Manning, the cast will include Rajesh Bose (Disgraced), Beth Flower (The Boy From Oz), and Meg Gibson (The Gabriels — Election Year in the Life of One Family).

Dual Cats With One Crayfish is described as follows: "Winnie Kirwan and Maeve Brennan have been friends for over forty years. When Winnie is expelled from Tuam Bowling Club for 'behaviour unbecoming of a club member,' it pitches her against Ranjiv Sibal, an Indian doctor determined to preserve his family’s good name. Maeve acts as a peacekeeper, attempting to resolve their dispute. But she has her own agenda which threatens to consume them and trigger a violent culture clash."
