Red Bull Theater's acclaimed production of The Government Inspector, now running at the Duke on 42nd Street, will transfer to New World Stages for six weeks only, beginning July 5. The limited off-Broadway engagement will continue through August 20.

Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from Nikolai Gogol's play, The Government Inspector is described as follows: "All politics are local. Gogol's deeply silly satire of small-town corruption offers a riotous portrait of rampaging self-delusion. When the crooked leadership of a provincial village discovers that an undercover inspector is coming to root out their commonplace corruption, the town weaves a web of bribery, lies, and utter madness."

Michael Urie (Buyer & Cellar) stars alongside Mary Testa (Wicked), Arnie Burton (Peter & the Starcatcher), Stephen DeRosa (Boardwalk Empire), and Michael McGrath (Nice Work If You Can Get It). They are joined by Ryan Garbayo, Kelly Hutchinson, Ben Mehl, Talene Monahon, Luis Moreno, James Rana, Tom Alan Robbins, Mary Lou Rosato, and William Youmans, replacing David Manis. Jesse Berger directs.

The Government Inspector ends its run at the Duke on 42nd Street on June 24.
